1:00 PM | Arrive at Rosecliff and check in for a self-guided tour. Rosecliff was built for Nevada silver heiress Theresa Fair Oelrichs, who used to host many famous Gilded Age entertainments. Architect Stanford White modeled Rosecliff after the Grand Trianon, the garden retreat of French kings of Versailles. |

2:45 PM | Arrive at Marble House for a self-guided tour. Marble House is a Gilded Age mansion, now open to the public. It was the former summer home for the Vanderbilts, this stone Beauz-Arts-style mansion is now a museum. The cost of the house was reported in contemporary Press accounts to be $11 million, of which $7 million was spent on 500,000 cubic feet of marble. |
